Featured Plug In Site: Hagerstown, Maryland Fast Chargers
Ranked as Maryland’s sixth largest city, Hagerstown lies near the intersection of Interstates 81 and 70. Many travelers stay on the highway and bypass the downtown area. That’s unfortunate because Main Street Hagerstown is rich in history and culture plus it sports a number of delightful restaurants and attractions. Now, electric vehicle drivers have a special reason to visit Main Street Hagerstown, a bank of four DC Fast Chargers serving both CHAdeMO and CCS.
While Hagerstown is a good hub from which to visit Antietam Battlefield, Boonsboro or the C&O Canal, the city itself is worth a day or even an overnight stay for EV tourists. For those who wish to explore, there is a ½ mile Cultural Trail that connects the downtown Arts & Entertainment District with the City Park and Museum of Fine Arts.
The Hagerstown Visitor Welcome Center is right next to the lot with the chargers. Coffee is nearby at the Public Square Cafe. If you’re ready for an authentic Bavarian dining experience, check out the Schmankerl Stube just a few blocks away. If you have a Tesla, come on in to downtown anyway. Just stop at the Superchargers which are less than 10 minutes drive to Main Street.
